Maciej Pilarek
Paulina Lubas obtained her Masters degree (LLM) at University College of London with specialisation in International Commercial Law. Paulina has also completed with distinction Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School and Akademia Spółek at School of Economics in Warsaw. Whilst living in the USA (Washington State) for a year and throughout her studies in the UK she perfected her legal English skills.
Paulina provides legal advice in all aspects connected with international commercial law. She obtained her legal experience whilst working in one of the biggest law firms in Poland. She has deep knowledge and skills connected with incorporating and providing legal support to companies in the European Union and outside of it, including companies in Cyprus, Malta, Hungary, the UK, Switzerland, UAE and Luksemburg. During her work experience, together with a team, she concluded many international, cross boarder processes such as cross boarder mergers, acquisitions, transformations and division of companies in different jurisdictions. She was also successful in changing seat (redomiciliaiton) of companies within the European Union.
Paulina’s main interest is incorporating structures with the aim of protecting clients’ main assets and providing succession planning vehicles based on international solutions, including private foundations in Malta, Liechtenstein or the Netherlands.
Maciej is a law graduate of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław. He graduated from Master of Business Administration studies at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, as well as LL.M. in International Commercial Law and Tax Law at Akademia im. L. Koźmiński in Warsaw.
Maciej specializes in commercial law, with particular emphasis on commercial companies law, tax law, as well as in business management aspects. Together with his team, he advises on strategic matters related to running a business, conducts enterprise reorganization projects, transaction and financing processes, as well as legal disputes on economic grounds. As part of consulting, together with a team of experts, he uses the instruments of Polish law as well as foreign regulations.
Before starting his professional activity as part of PLA.partners, for fourteen years he co-founded, and then as Director and Partner, he managed a team of lawyers concentrated in three legal departments in one of the largest, recognized law firms in Poland.
